How do i find my antivirus software on windows 10

When Windows 10 first came out, a lot of people were complaining that Microsoft had removed the antivirus software from the operating system. This didn’t make a lot of sense at first because what if you get a virus? You’d have to go and buy something? The truth is that you don’t need to worry because the software is still there and it works just as well as it did in previous versions of Windows. It’s pure luck that Microsoft didn’t rename it so they could try to introduce something new and different but they didn’t bother.

To find your antivirus software on Windows 10, you’ll need to access the Settings app.

First, open the Start menu by pressing the Windows key on your keyboard. Then, click the Settings app in the list of options.

In the Settings window that appears, scroll down until you find the Update & Security section. Click it to expand it and reveal all of its options.

Finally, select Recovery from this list to see a list of available recovery options for your device.

To find your antivirus software, click on the Windows logo in the bottom left corner of your screen. Then select “Control Panel” and choose “Security and Maintenance.” This will bring up a page with links to all of your installed programs, including your antivirus software.

If you do not see this panel, or if you are using Windows 10 Home, you may have to use a different method to find your antivirus program. To do so, go to the Start menu and select “Settings.” From there, select “Update & Security,” then “Windows Defender Security Center.”

This should open up a new window that shows you all of the security settings on your computer. Scroll down until you see “Antivirus” and click on it. This should bring up another window with all of your antivirus programs listed at the top.

  1. Click on Start and type control panel on the search bar then click on the search result showing Control Panel Desktop app
  2. On the Control Panel window, click on View by: and select Small Icons (if it has not yet been set that way) then go to Security and Maintenance
  3. On the Security and Maintenance screen, open Security by clicking on the downward arrow to see a list of installed antivirus and firewall programs you may have running in the background

  4. For newer versions of Windows 10, you may have to click ‘View in Windows Security’ to see the antivirus program. To send a screenshot, click here.
