Whether you want to spit out hundreds of quick videos or invest the time to create a high-quality production, digital marketers use professional video editing software to turn their ideas into reality.
In this guide, we discuss the aspects of Video Editing Software For Digital Marketing, video marketing tools and techniques, video editing tools for android, and how to edit digital video.
Video Editing Software For Digital Marketing
If you’re looking for a video editing software that can help you create a professional-looking video in no time, you’ve come to the right place. Here are eight of the most popular options available on the market today.
1. Final Cut Pro X
Final Cut Pro X is the best video editing software for professionals, and it’s also a great choice for beginner video editors. It’s best used on Macs due to its interface, but you can use Final Cut Pro X on Windows computers as well. The latest version is easy enough to pick up that even beginners can learn how to use it within hours or days of setting up their computer with this software.
2. Adobe Premiere Pro CC
Adobe Premiere Pro CC is a video editing software that can be used to edit videos, audio, and photos. It is widely used in professional video production and the film industry. Its features include:
- A timeline function where you can drag and drop your clips on the screen to create your video
- A powerful editing tool that allows you to easily edit different parts of your videos
- Real-time performance so you don’t have to wait for it to render before you can see what’s happening
3. Magix Movie Edit Pro
Magix Movie Edit Pro is a video editing software that has a good amount of features and options. It’s easy to use, with a drag and drop interface. It is good for beginners who are just getting started with video editing, but it also offers enough advanced features for more experienced users. The price is reasonable too—you can usually get it for around $80 or so. And the program offers a wide range of effects and transitions for you to play around with in your videos!
4. Apple iMovie
iMovie is a video editor for Mac. It is used to edit and publish videos, as well as add effects and music. iMovie can be downloaded from the App Store for free, making it one of the easiest video editing software choices available today.
iMovie has many features that make it great for beginners or those who are looking for an application that will do most of the work for them. The interface has been simplified so that even someone with very little technical knowledge can easily use iMovie to edit their own videos using preset themes and templates. However, if you want more control over every aspect of your video production process then there are other options available in this list that I recommend checking out first before deciding whether or not this program is right for your needs
5. Avidemux
Avidemux is a free, open-source video editor that can be used to cut, join and convert video files. It also works with audio files and supports almost all formats. The software allows you to do basic editing tasks like trimming or resizing videos, adding subtitles or overlays and performing some colour correction if needed.
Avidemux also has a feature called Media Crop & Resize which allows you to crop your videos during the editing process in order to keep only the parts of it you want for your final product (this is perfect if you have an HD camera but want an SD presentation). If a particular frame has been recorded too dark or bright this tool will help correct it automatically without having to manually adjust each frame separately!
Another interesting feature available within Avidemux is called “subtitling/closed captioning” which allows users create subtitles using any language they want – there are even tools within this application meant specifically for creating subtitles so anybody could use them!
6. Wondershare Filmora
Wondershare Filmora is a video editing software that enables you to edit your videos in an easy and intuitive way. It comes with an impressive array of features, including the ability to use various templates, add effects and transitions, add music and text, as well as adding subtitles and creating custom logos. The software lets you produce high-quality videos for marketing purposes by making them more professional looking.
The best thing about this tool is that it allows for easy collaboration–you can invite colleagues from different locations or departments within the same company to work on a project together. This saves time because everyone doesn’t have to download any additional apps; this functionality is already built into Wondershare Filmora.
7. Movavi Video Editor Plus
Movavi Video Editor Plus is a great tool for editing your videos. This software is easy to use and has a lot of features, which makes it a good option for beginners and experts alike.
You can easily add music, text, and effects to your videos before sharing them on social media or embedding them on your website or blog. You can also add transitions between clips so they flow together smoothly.
Movavi Video Editor Plus offers very detailed editing options that let you control every aspect of your video with precision. For example, you can set audio volume levels manually during post production so all sounds are equalized across different clips in the same video (or different parts of the same clip).
8. Nero Video
Nero Video is a powerful video editor that allows you to create professional-quality videos. It comes with a wide range of video editing tools and is easy to use. Nero Video can be used by both beginners and advanced users, as it offers different levels of complexity depending on the user’s needs.
If you are looking for an affordable yet powerful video editing software, Nero Video would be an excellent choice.
As video formats become more and more diverse, video editing needs to be easy and flexible to keep up with the times, and these programs can help you do that.
As video formats become more and more diverse, video editing needs to be easy and flexible to keep up with the times, and these programs can help you do that.
The best video editing software for digital marketing is Adobe Premiere Pro. Premiere Pro is a very powerful tool that allows you to create high-quality videos quickly and efficiently. It also gives you plenty of options for customization, including color grading (which involves adjusting the contrast, brightness, saturation and hue of each individual frame), audio mixing (turning different sounds into a stereo or surround sound mix) and editing transitions between clips.
A major benefit of this program is its ability to import multiple files from different sources at once—you can import everything from old footage stored on external hard drives or DVDs through Dropbox or Google Drive cloud storage services—and then edit them all together seamlessly in one project file. This makes it easier than ever before for businesses that want a quick turnaround time on their projects but don’t have enough budget for hiring an entire team dedicated exclusively towards video production work!
video marketing tools and techniques
According to Cisco, consumer internet video traffic will account for 80 percent of all consumer Internet traffic globally in 2019. That is a whopping 64% increase from 2014. For marketers, if you’re not already taking advantage of the impact that videos have in your content marketing strategy, then you absolutely have to jump on the bandwagon.
However, before you just start devoting time and resources into making videos, make sure that you know what stories you’re brand is attempting to tell. Do you want to explain how your product works? Are you trying to show how your service solves a problem? Do you want to make a lighthearted video that humanizes your brand?
Whatever direction you go into, keep your audience in mind when brainstorming video content ideas.
Once you know what kind of video you’re going to tell, make sure it’s not too long. You only have a couple of seconds to grab the attention of the viewer, so make it count. You also want to make sure that the video includes a call-to-action, is embedded onto your website, shared on social media, and contains all the SEO basics — transcription, keywords, tags, thorough description, and a catchy title.
While all of the above pieces of advice are essential components of a video marketing campaign, you should also make use of tools that can provide you with video analytics, easy-to-use editing software, or allowing you to make unique videos – such as animated videos – that help make your brand stand out from the competition.
Where can you find these useful tools? Here are eleven of them, in no particular order, that can help your business spice up and improve your video marketing initiative.
Founded back in 2012, Wideo is an online video platform that allows you to easily create, edit, and share animated videos. Wideo gives you the option to personalize your advertisement, presentation, tutorial or product demo by letting you add your logo, images or even background music. And, if you’re not comfortable with creating a video from scratch, you can use one of the pre-made templates to get you started in just a matter of minutes. You can even hire one of Wideo’s professional graphics designers if you really want something unique.
Wideo has a free plan for videos that are no longer than 45 seconds. If you need longer videos, pricing ranges from $9 to $39 per month.
Viewbix is a video marketing tool where you can create an interactive video in just three steps – which should only take about five minutes. This is accomplished by simply adding a link to your video, branding your video by inserting your logo and call-to-action buttons, and finally choosing apps to help you achieve goals like lead capture generation.
You can then place your video on social networks like Facebook and Twitter. There’s also actionable analytics so you can see what’s effective and what’s not. And, if you’re not comfortable with managing your videos, you can hire from Viewbix to manage all aspects of your video campaign.
Viewbix has a free version if you only have one client. If you have more users or want to let Viewbix manage your campaign, you’ll have to contact a sales rep.
Since 2012 Slidely has given people the ability to create video slideshows or music videos from your existing photos, music or video clips. You can then directly post your new slideshow onto Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and Pinterest. There’s also widgets and badges so you can embed the clip onto a blog or website. What makes Slidely stand out is it’s also a social network where the community can share and view each other’s work.
You can register for Slidely for free on your desktop or download the iOS or Android app for free.
Powtoon is another tool that lets you easily create animated, professional videos of your products or services, presentations or tutorials. Founded in 2012, Powtoon is known for having an incredibly easy-to-use and intuitive interface that guides you through each step of the video making process. You can also painlessly export your video to YouTube in just a couple of clicks. Powtoon even states that its users have experienced an astounding 300% increase in engagement.

Powtoon does offer a free version, but it comes with a watermark and up to five minutes of video. Watermark-free plans start at $18 per month,
Formed in 2011 WeVideo is a Software as a Service tool that gives users the power to create and edit engaging videos for your business. Even if you don’t have any experience in creating videos, WeVideo gives you the opportunity to essentially be the director of your video by giving you full creative control when working with the company’s professional graphic designers. You can also customize your videos by adding your logo, color scheme, info cards, calls-to-action, and then publish the video onto platforms like YouTube. One of the most appealing components is that you can invite team members to collaborate and contribute on videos.
WeVideo does have a free plan, but for more storage options you’ll have to select either the $7 or $20 per month plans.
6. Stupeflix
Stupeflix allows you to create videos in a just a matter of minutes because it actually gathers up pre-existing images, videos, music, presentations, maps, and social networking channels like Facebook and Instagram and places them onto one convenient location. By doing so, you can focus more on the entire story that you’re trying to tell.
Once your video has been created, you can easily post it to YouTube, Facebook or embed it onto your site. This easy-to-use tool also comes with 16 different themes.
You can begin creating videos on Stupeflix, and it’s awesome iPhone app, for free. For $29/month though, you can use the Pro Version which allows you to create unlimited HD videos, text-to-speech voiceovers, and a custom call-to-action button.
First released in 2012, VideoScribe is a software company that lets users create whiteboard-style animations automatically. That may sound too good to be true, but this seemingly difficult task is achieved by letting users select and add the image, text, music, voice over, and canvas which is then converted into a unique whiteboard video. Where there are thousands of royalty-free images and music to choose from, VideoScribe allows for customization by letting users change the background or add content like GIFs. Once the video is created, it can be shared through email, Facebook, or YouTube.
There’s a free 7-day trial for VideoScribe, but once you purchase the software (right now it’s currently $11/month) the watermark logo will be removed and you will be able to create videos in HD and work offline.
Originally known as Wondershare Video Editor, Filmora is software that gives you the chance to perform basic edits (trim, rotate, brightness, contrast, speed), audio edits, and advanced effects like Picture in Picture and Scene Detection.
Filmora also comes packed with an extensive music library, overlays, filters, and texts to help make your video stand out. To get started, just upload content from your preferred device and start editing. While there are a lot of video editors available, Filmora’s intuitive interface makes this is one of the easiest and effective editors marketers can use. There’s also inspiring instructional and tutorial videos to help you get the most out of Filmore.
You can give Filmora a spin for free, but you’ll then have to purchase the software for $19.95 per year or $39.99 for a lifetime license.
Since 2010, Vidyard has been providing video marketers with essential data like the attention span of viewers, click-through behavior, the location of viewers, where your videos are shared, and how videos can give your ROI a boost.
These types of metrics and data means you can more effectively create and share videos because you know how and where to grab your audience’s attention. Vidyard also lets you create an email gate during the beginning of a video so that you can collect email addresses and CTAs that pop-out. Embedding can be easily achieved on landing pages and there’s integration with Salesforce.
Unlike the other selections on this list, Vidyard offers pricing scales depending on what features and integrations work best for you or your brand.
Wistia is an extremely powerful video and hosting company that was founded in 2006. One of the most useful analytics features are heatmaps, which show exactly where viewers watched, stopped, skipped forward, or rewatched.

Wistia also lets you customize the colors and controls of the video players which can be easily embedded and shared across multiple channels online.
Wistia lets you create 25 videos for free, but you may want to check out the paid plans that start at $25/month if you want to be able to use features like marketing integrations, lead generation tools, and advanced analytics.
video editing tools for android
Video editing is one of the heaviest tasks that a device can perform. On computers, it requires decent specs, tons of RAM, tons of storage, and some know-how on how to make it work. Phones do not have the specs or power to replicate experiences like Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere Pro. However, some apps can do the basic stuff pretty well. It’s even good enough for some pro vlogging with some patience. You can also click here to see the best video editors on iPhone.
For the most part, most of today’s mobile video editing is for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and similar use cases. We have full-featured video editor apps listed below, but we also made sure to list some simpler video editors designed for minute-long videos like you see on Reels or TikTok.
The best video editor apps on Android
ActionDirector Video Editor
ActionDirector is one of the most popular video editing apps on PC. It’s also available on Android. It does the basics. You can import clips, edit them, and render the video. You can do things like add your own music, trim and cut video, add text, employ slow motion, and more. It’s one of the few video editor apps that also supports 4K video. You’ll have to check and see if your device supports it, though. The developers have a nifty tool linked in the Google Play Store to see if yours can. It also gets frequent updates.
Adobe Premiere Rush
Price: Free / Up to $53.99 per month
Adobe Premiere Rush is one of two above-average Adobe video editor apps. The other is Adobe Premiere Clip which is closer to a standard mobile video editor. Anyway, Adobe Premiere Rush is one of the newer video editor apps on the list and it’s quite good. It comes with a lot of must-have features, including multi-track timelines, cloud syncing, and some advanced editing tools. The app still needs some UI work and some bug fixes, but it has a ton of potential. Plus, it’s included in the Adobe Creative Cloud subscription so it’s worth a shot if you use that service already.
Fun fact, the mobile version of Adobe Lightroom (Google Play) actually includes some video editing features as well.
CapCut
Price: Free with in-app purchases
CapCut is a simple, effective video editor. It’s aimed mostly at TikTok creators, but you can use it for Reels and YouTube Shorts as well. It specializes in short-form video. There is an exhaustive supply of filters and templates you can use. They are used to emulate existing trends and some of the filters are just fun. You do get some more traditional video editing features like keyframe editing, slow motion support, the picture-in-picture function, and more. The best part is that the app didn’t bother us to pay for anything while we tested it out. There are in-app purchases according to Google Play, but we didn’t find them during our testing.
FilmoraGo
FilmoraGo is a video editor app by Wondershare. It’s easily one of the best video editor apps. This video editor packs a wallop. You can do the basics like trim and cut, render, and that kind of stuff. It also includes the ability to play in reverse, do square videos (1:1) for Instagram, and 16:9 videos for YouTube specifically. It also has support for things like slow motion, transitions, music, overlays, and more. It’s not half bad for what you get. There are in-app purchases that add to the power. However, most of the features are, in fact, free.
Funimate Video Editor
Price: Free with in-app purchases
Funimate is one of the surprisingly popular, but not overly powerful video editor apps. It bills itself as being a great app for making music videos or simple videos out of the stuff you already have on your device. There are 15 video filters that you can play with and the creation process is fairly painless. This isn’t something you’d want to use on a serious video. It has things like video effects. However, it’s better for short little social media posts rather than actual video production. You can download it for free to try it out yourself.
GoPro Quik
GoPro Quik is from a newer generation of video editor apps. It’s halfway decent if you need something simple. The way it works is you add up to 50 photos and video clips into the app. The app then analyzes them and spits out a short video from them. Quik contains about two dozen video styles and you can re-order and customize your video before you export it. It’s not nearly as powerful as something like Adobe Premiere Clip or PowerDirector, but not everyone needs something that intense. It’s free to download with no in-app purchases.
InShot
Price: Free / $2.99 per month / $9.99 per year / $29.99 once
InShot is a super simple video editor with a heavy focus on things like filters, video trimming, and shorter videos. It has a reasonably simple timeline editor with multiple video and audio channels. You also get basic tools like cropping, a selection of music, and various other small things like fading in and out. Its toolset, sticker packs, speed controls, and other features make it great for things like YouTube, TikTok, and similar platforms. We also quite like how it has a single price tag alongside its subscription in case you want to go that route.
KineMaster
Price: Free / $4.99 per month
KineMaster is one of the most powerful video editor apps available and also one of the first. You can do the basics as most of these other video editors can. However, this one includes multiple video, image and effect layers. Additionally, there are audio filters, chroma-key (for your green screen fans out there), various video effects, transitions, and more. It’s not as powerful as a full desktop editor. However, this gets much closer than most other competitors. We would recommend this for actual video production (at least for stuff like YouTube). You can use it for free in trial mode for a while. However, you’ll need the $4.99 per month subscription to get everything forever.
PowerDirector
PowerDirector is one of the most comprehensive video editor apps on this list. It comes with a ton of features, including quick editing tools, various effects and other tools, and it even comes with things like a collage maker and slow motion support. The interface is relatively easy to work with and it utilizes the classic timeline editor method. It should be more familiar for those who video edit often. It’s free to download and use, but you’ll need to fork out some extra money to get all the features. This is a for-real video editor, especially for larger screens like Chromebooks or tablets.
VivaVideo
VivaVideo is one of the exceptionally popular video editing apps. In practice, though, it’s a very middle-of-the-road video editor. It works especially well for short clips for social media. The app uses a storyboard style of editing where you load clips, edit and trim them as needed, and then move on to the next segment. It includes over 200 video filters and various other effects, text input, and fast and slow-motion support. VivaVideo has a free version that comes with a watermark and a time limit for any given video. You can remove these restrictions by buying the pro version.
